This year I made it a goal to improve Jody with the specific goal of helping my¬†company get to the next level in the process. My thought was that by improving me I would improve the rest of the team. ¬†I committed myself to¬†getting up 30 minutes earlier every day day to allow me more time to learn and explore new ideas, to read, to listen to podcast. ¬†I have been inspired by great leaders like Gary Vaynerchuck and Dr. Eric Thomas (The Hip Hop Preacher). I’ve also dedicated myself to a solid fitness plan including working out and dialing in my nutrition.
I’ve come to realize ¬†that investing in myself, outside of ‚Äúregular business hours‚ÄĚ is helping me focus my vision, management of time and helping me hone in on the things that are most important.
My question for you, I know you want to go to the next level, what are you doing to help yourself and your company get there?  What are you doing to learn and grow. What are you doing to up your game?  Are you investing in yourself? Or have you slid into the 9 to 5 mentality.
We all know it’s a grind. But our attitude, determination and commitment to getting it done make the difference.  We are mid 2017 time to regroup and push ourselves to the next level.  In the process we will discover that we can control and propel our destiny.

As you work¬†with your customer¬†remember there are two sides two a coin. I’ve found that sometimes you may be discussing the same issue but coming at it from different angles that can cause a disconnect. Make sure to understand your customer’s perspective so you can better serve them. ¬†This will not only help you in positioning and selling your product but also how you provide the best customer service possible.

Communication with your customers is critical to your on-going success especially when things are not going to plan. Make sure to communicate what went wrong, a plan of action to correct and an estimate timeline for resolution. It’s ok to have bad news – be willing to address the problem and articulate what you can do to best serve the customer.

Today I had to take a walk, to take a breath, to clear my head and count my blessings.
Some days life can beat on you. It can keep punching – keep coming at you until you feel like throwing in the towel. However, you can’t stop. Even when life keeps punching stay in the ring. You have to go the distance. Keep pushing back – find and develop the inner strength that will help you succeed.

One of the most challenging aspects of building your business, sales territory, etc. is being patient. ¬†We live in a world of such immediacy that being patient can be challenging. Make sure you are working towards your goals, putting in every effort, nurturing every relationship, building your team then be patient for the results. They will come.
